Information Technology and Office Skills
The Information Technology and Office Skills course is designed to give learners the opportunity to develop their practical and personal skills and to achieve a QQI award at level 3, 4 or 5 in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Computer skills are such a crucial element in many careers. The computer section equips learners with knowledge, skill and expertise in computer theory and a wide range of computer applications such as Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Internet and E mail, Database, Graphics etc.
Learners will acquire skills which will enable them to work in an office environment or in various retail positions, general office skills, data entry, preparation of business documents, career preparation, interview skills and reception skills are covered.
Emphasis is placed on practical work and each learner will have the opportunity to participate in a work experience programme which will aid them in developing their confidence and self belief.
Learners can progress to further education or seek employment within a number of areas such as offices, shops, hotels etc.
